Book Three – Snitch-Seeking in Southern England and Wales

LUMOS SNITCH-SEEKING

Snitch-Seeking in Southern England and Wales explores twelve Harry Potter film sites found west of London.

One of them, Picket Post Close in Martins Heron (Site #24)—aka the Dursley’s Privet Drive home—is a London Side-Along Apparation from Harry Potter Places Book One, repeated here with new information for Potterites driving to Potter Places outside of London.

Two Snitch-Seeking sites are so spectacular, they each deserve a double-Great-Site rating! Gloucester Cathedral (Site #39) and Lacock Abbey & Village (Site #40) are loaded with locations seen in several Harry Potter movies and must not be missed.

Rowling’s Childhood Haunts (Site #41) is a collection of 11 locations in South Gloucestershire and Wales related to JKR’s pre-Potter life, such as her birthplace, childhood homes and schools. Many of these places are discussed in the documentary, J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life.

A very brief Deathly Hallows: Part One film site found beneath the Severn Bridge is also included in this entry. Why? Because it lies on the route between two JKR Childhood Haunt areas.
